What can be fixed on a bike?
What issues can be fixed on a bike? Almost any! The major reason for irreparability is frame damage, and 98% of bike frames are completely fine. Every other component on a bike can be replaced and still be well worth the investment for the renewed functionality.
In a day and age when most bike shops will sell you a new bike rather than fix your old one, I’m hoping to encourage people to repair rather than replace. In my own experience, even restored bikes from all the way back in 1976 can ride just as well or better than a modern-day bike for the same price.
The same principal certainly applies for any of your bikes from the last 10-20 years as those are often just simply more advanced in purpose-built design! So, if it’s not the frame that’s the problem, then in my humble opinion, it is a great idea to fix your bike!
